Default THE PLAN! (Joke)

This appeared on the very tightly regulated forums of St John Ambulance Australia (NSW). About ten minutes later another thread went up, placing bets about how long it would last before it was pulled down, and the member who posted it recieved disciplinary action...

The Sergeants went unto the Divisional Superintendents and said "The Plan is a pail of fertilizer of which is strong and does not promote good growth"

The Divisional Superintendents went unto their Regional Superintendents and said "The Plan contains fertilizer, of which promotes strong and good growth within the unit"

The Regional Superintendents went unto the State Superintendent and said "The Plan is strong and will give good growth to the organisation"

The State Superintendant went unto the State Commissioner and said "The plan is good"

And the State Commissioner smiled and the plan became policy.

This is how sh** happens...
Right now it has been there for ten hours. How, I have no idea, but I thought I should make it immortal before the State Staff Cell notices it!

It really is true though!

Here you are Dave!

There was darkness on the face of the FireFighters,
For they had seen The Plan
They went unto their Deputies and said "It is a crock of sh** and we cant work with it"

The Deputies went unto the Senior Deputy and said "The Plan is a pail of excrement, and none of the men will abide by it"

The Senior Deputy went unto the Captain and said "The Plan is a pail of fertilizer of which is strong and does not promote good growth"

The Captain went unto their Group Captains and said "The Plan contains fertilizer, of which promotes strong and good growth within the unit"

The Group Captains went unto the Fire Control Officer and said "The Plan is strong and will give good growth to the organisation"

The Fire Control Officer went unto the Commissioner and said "The plan is good"

And the Commissioner smiled and the plan became policy.

This is how sh** happens...

How does that sound?

Except our FCO would just defer it to the next budget meeting...

St John is a hell of a lot cheaper than any other first aid/pre-hospital care/medical coverage providers, and that is due to the fact that we are all volunteers. We do however survive on donations, so depending on the size of the event an apropriate donation really should be made.

We cater for everything from your local footy matches right up to being the primary medical provider for the Royal Easter Show. We will ensure that you are catered to apropriate to the size and nature of the event with services ranging from a lone "Zambuck" (ten points to anyone who can remember the origins of that one!) sitting on the side of a footy field with a first aid kit, right up to mini hospitals, patient transport vehicles (Ambulances), Cylce rapid response teams, Advanced Life Support Squads, Doctors, Nurses, Ambos... you name it, we can make it happen.

I assume that you are inquiring for the All Ford Day? PM me and we can sort something out...

Yes mate Im talking AFD. Still in discussion as to whether we actually need a medical presence on the day, but if we do I'll certainly be looking at them.

in my opinion (for whatever its worth) I would definately have some medical prescence at the all ford day back2thefutura. I was on a large cruise/charity event in sydney with 500 odd cars a short time ago, there were no ambulance or first aid people at the venue the cruise ended at for the prizedraws and the like. The mrs tripped and cut her knee open quite badly and we had to do a dash to find a nearby hospital to get her attended to. It left me quite ****ed off. Even though chances are it wouldn't be needed, it is best to have someone there just in case IMO...

I'll take that 10 points thanks. Zambuck was an ointment you put on cuts and grazes, we had it as a mandatory 'pre-baindaid' thing when we were kids. Its green in colour, smelt like Eucalyptus and came in a tin similar to shoepolish.

It was brillient, and I would near on kill to get hold of some again for my kids.

Thats cool B2F.

I think you'll find that insurance is cheaper if you have medical coverage. Just a hint!

When you make up your mind, PM me.

Cheers.

Just as a bit of feedback for this.

The member who posted it did not get kicked out, he did not get suspended, he did not even get a talking to...

St John Corporate (Not the volunteers, the idiots who control us and make life hard) simply removed the forums, destroying our most effective means of communication to date.

Well done Rhonda Bignell (CEO) F#(^ you...
