Default Pic of Toxic (new BF colour)

Hey i found this pic of a Toxic XR8 on carsales.

Must be a preproduction test mule.

Dont know whether i like it that much now...

I just added a citric on the far right for comparison...

Looks better than Citric Acid, but I still don't like it that much.

Looks no different to the other COlour that came out with the BA but a little greener. Not all that nice. I think Matt (Zetec), Steve (MelbZetec), Hilder (xurbanx), and I saw that car at the Macedon ranges on our Euroford cruise. I wouldnt have noticed it if it wasnt for Matt pointing it out.

Yes, it would be interesting to see a Citric parked next to it.

This one is certainly alot greener!

I would have prefered more green i think, its still too bright!

I can't wait to see an FPV in that colour. I remember the original BA launch GT at the Syd Motor Show all those years ago appeard very green under fluoros and I loved it until I saw Citric in the real light. Too pale. Toxic is much louder and funkier!!

tap, tap, tap, tap goes the noise of the walking stick for the sight impaired that work in the Ford design dept.
woof, woof, woof, woof goes the noise of the dog for sight impaired when the tap, tap, tap ,tap noise approaches.

actually i've seen another colour that is worse than that. it was a Holden Manaro and is a really light, sky blue............shocker.

I really liked Citric Acid when it first came out, but now I can't stand it. I suspect the same will hold true for this colour. I really like it now but I'm sure by 2007 I'll hate it. As for the new Monaro blue, mate I absolutely love that colour!!

Why dont ford just use lime glaze instead of these (obviously) close copy"s of it. Its the best colour they ever made. And im not saying that just because its the colour of my car......

Meh, I thought it would be more green. Its just too close to citric... If that is even the right colour.

Fantasy seems like *THE* colour to get. Blue green real flip paint like all the show cars used to have a few years ago.

Ohh, XR8 with the six speed auto, Luxury pack, parking sensors, Fantasy, big brakes, 18" wheels, tint, GPS.. The flip paint should really show off that bulge.

Where do Ford get the ideas for these colours? Looks like someone coloured in the plans with highlighter and just thought, "That'll do"

Green cars are trouble. 1 written off green Mazda, a green Commodore that was about to cost me more then it got on trade and my father in-law's green Commodore that is nothing but a money pit tells me that green cars eat green backs. Shame as I would love a GT-P in Zircon with gold stripes.

Will be interested to see it in the flesh, and in sun light. Not a big fan of citric acid though.

Interesting colour, it reminds me of an XP panel van from an old (90s) magazine called "The Grim Reaper". It had a 302 and a mountain of chrome (blower?) sticking out of the bonnet.

Mate, your going way back now. I think I have that mag (Street Machine) somewhere. Yes it was a blown 302 and was very nice!

I saw it in the flesh today on an XR8 (definitely wasn't citric). It's quite an eye-sore really.

Not bad. I liked Citric Acid when it came out. I'll have to have a look in Ocean Ford this arvo and see if they have any pre-production vehicles lying around.
