ahah well I have a story.

Last christmas I just got home, parked the car and went inside. Got a knock on teh dorr and some chick across the road had reversed into my car and slightly dented it. Nothing to bad, a dent the size of a tennis ball maybe; just stratched the paint.

Any got some qoutes, best being $500, then got the cash off her. Then, bloody JB HiFi was having a boxing day special. 30mins later I got a nice VDO MP3 player, 6.5' for the front and 6x9's for the back...lol

I still have that bloody dent! But my stereo is nice. :dj:

it all depends on how you feel really. i know i dealt with my factory tape player and speakers for about a year before i got a headunit and fronts in there. all i want now is some 6x9s and that'll do me. but ive wanted my car to look good from day 1. finally i can afford a new DJ front and rear bar and am just saving for the sideskirts. thing is, a stereo can travel form car to car. but unless the next car is exactly the same as the old one you cant take the body with you.

Very true.

You can never win on vehicles, one minute they look awesome and then the next minute you get someone that runs into it or scratches it then it looks crap. you fix it then it happens again.

You get a stereo you find more rattles. i guess at the end of the day i could always get a loan and do all of it at once.

i could spend lots then.

the front bar has cracked on the left hand side, someone has also reversed into the front bar, i have scratched both mirrors, some one has put a bottle on my boot spoiler and i hace stressed the rear bodykit when i had it lowered.

So there are a few things need to be done. alot of little things

the minor things seem to be the ones that hurt the most and are the most annoying.

I'm gonna be different and say fix up the body/appearance. Stereo gear is overrated, who cares how big a stereo you've got? A cheap CD player and 4 speakers is enough.

I just think it's a lot nicer to have people commenting on how good your car looks instead of rolling their eyes at somethin haggard with doof doof driving by.

True. i think i might do the body. ill spend a couple of grand on the body and shell look shmike as.

What do you guys think of this.do you think i would be a try hard to swap an ef xr front bar to a el xr front bar??

The reason i ask is that its gonna cost $1000 to fix the bar i got now if a get a new one its $800 plus painting, with a different style bar?

No worries going the el xr bar if thats what you want. I'd also do the body first too, may be just get a headunit and keep the stocko 6" for a while until you can afford to upgrade.
