Default Painting Washer jet covers

Hey people,

My washer jet covers on the bonet are old and discoloured, originally being the colour black.

What should i use to re-paint these back to there black colour?

Is just a small tin of hobby paint suitable for the job?

Thanks guys,

Paul

If you paint them it will most likely flake off eventually anyway. Best to either get some good stuff like Back To Black onto them, or buy a new set.

I got some brand spankers from Ford for less than that for the EF.

And a word of warning on the ones with lights in them - Constable Plod loves them.

When was the last time you gought some???

when mine went white i rang repco and they didn't sell them "only ford has them" he said so i called them and they were $19.95 EACH = $39.90 for 2, yer right i said so i went to Pick-a-part and got 3 for $4.

To make them look and feel new i just sanded then down with very fine wet and dry, done

PS: i also did the same to the demister switch and it now looks like it's new.

Back to black wouldn't help... I'd be inclined to paint rather than buy new. As others have said make sure you clear coat as well.

i painted mine in the same colour as the car. i lightly sanded them pack and i got a colured pen same colour as the car, i put about 3 coats on it and it comes up a treat.

i have had them on there for about 6 months and the arent flaking off yet.
