Default barra in mk2 escort

hello any one seen a ba falcon motor go in to a escort, im thinking bout doing it. do you recon it will be able to be registered?

It used to be common fitting a capri v6 into an escort , enginnered it could be registered , I would expect a nissan 3 litre or ford 4 litre might be but you need to ask you local engineer

i dont like your chances of A) fitting a barra in, and B) getting it registered.
a lot of firewall will have to be cut out to fit it in length wise, and then you'll have issues fitting it in width wise.

the engine bays tight enough with a 2ltr in there.

Want new motor and big power go fora zetec, duratec(more power and lighter) or a jap motoR like an sr20, 4age or a ca18det

i want something with alot of torque the 4 cylinders have alot of up and go but no torque? any other ideas

Ya a charged 6 would be my way too.
A friend runs 11.9 in full weight vn calias. with only 210rwkw. Not sure on torque but it would be heaps.
