Default iridium ix spark plugs

hi people i have a standard 1999 au is iridium ix spark plugs any good as i put some in mine and i used heaps of fuel runs better with std nkgs can someone offer any input

i have never heard of these ix spark plugs, where did you buy them from

if i remember correctly not all au used the iridium plugs. i think it was only series 2 onwards, series 1 and possibly some early series 2 cars just ran the ngk plugs. i think the ignition leads are different aswell, had to replace my leads once and they had different connections on the coil pack end.

got them from cyril harris ford recon there ok in the au1 model but at $20.00 a hit should i put them in

Iridium plugs are recommended in the XR8 models but not for anything else. Personally I dont think they make enough difference to warrant the extra price.
