Cool LPGas

Hi all
just reading the posts here
for years as a kid I used to watch the flames coming out of the chimneys at the refinery now of course we all know its LPG thats just wasted
back in 1988 I drove an EA cab and the fuel was 17cents per litre
but if you happened to run out of fuel you rang the cab company and they would send out a BBQ bottle of LPG to get you going
(all the correct fittings of course)
also the government at the time sold a sh't load of LPG to China at 2 cents per litre and bragged in the paper about what a good deal they had swung with the Chinese
so now we are now 20 0dd years later and paying anywhere from 62 to 68 cents per litre
any way just whinging about prices My AU Fairmont with dual fuel goes great I love it I have had it since 2003 and and still is half the cost of petrol to run
John

Not quite. What you’ve seen is a butane flare. Butane, by its nature is a very low pressure gas, however, it still has to be regulated, that’s why they burn off the excess.

Correct fittings? Hmmmm.
