Default i got pics

well heres the car i got for 2300 VERY happy.

79 escort
2L
4 speed auto
extractors into full 2 1/4 exhaust
VERY and i do mean VERY lumpy cam,
monza race seats
genuine 2 piece simmons rims

only hiccup being that im used to efi's .. played with what i thought was the idle, turns out it was the mixture lol, so i left it running a lil rich.. better than leaving it lean

suprisingly goes very hard! i LOVE THIS CAR

Serious bargain, mate. Well done.
Looks like an early rally pack....Not sure about the monster tacho and the bingo boy seats (extra weight).....All Escorts go hard, and the more money you throw at them, the harder they go. :

i like the seats specially considering i intend for it to become a track/hills car after next month,

the tacho yeah, it goes to 12 grand i think lol, the stock one goes just enough for me to know what im pulling so that will likly get moved on.

first Mod im looking at is the volvo/tx3 brake upgrade and some new springs and shocks b4 april as thats next track day at mallala.

thanks for comments guys

Looks great mate, good buy at $2300!!!.
I haven't seen it in a few years but I've seen it before when it was on a 4,6 and Rotaries cruise back in about 2001 I think....

I run the exact same rims on my Escort even down to the colour of them.

Let me know what date your heading to the track. I've been out a couple of times but never have any other Escorts to play with out there.

Cheers

ill hopefully be out for the GSR/EVO track day in april i think.

the front wheelshave so much negative camber and i dont know why theres no camber kit on it.. unless theres some oldschool way to do it, but that needs to be fixed,

i would be very interested for another escort to be there though give me a good gauge of what they are cabable of and how im doing

this is how it sounds

excuse the smoke at the exhaust, put a cleaner through it so it was blowing out all the junk of 30's year dirty petrol

it normally doesnt blow smoke
