Is the one below not an AU2 one? I though the AU3 were more squarer which is what the OP is chasing?

AU2 had part number AU2F519A58A1L, AU3 had AU3F519A58A5..

Thanks for correcting me, you would know better than me, I thought all AU were all the same

I have two types and thought the squarer one was BA-BF,

That's what I thought too...had the round style in my AU2 futura but never really seen the AU3, naturally thought they'd be the same.

Interesting as well is the BA/F one has a different part number BAF519A58A6L but looks the same as the AU3?

Looks like the AU3 and the BA/F ones are the same except for the colour, AU3 appears more grey, the BA bit lighter.

Same as the likes of the "A" pillar tweeter trims...grey for AU and the lighter colour for B series.

IIRC the sunglass holder changed mid to late AUIII.

They effectively ran out of the old ones and just retrofitted the BA style one.

Thanks Paul, so the genuine AUI - III is the round grey one, the grey square one is a retrofitted BA-BF and the beige square on is a genuine BA-BF.

When I bought the car the sunglasses holder was missing the door completely and the dealer fitted the AU style to replace it, I was oblivious to the difference at the time

I have recently replaced the roof lining complete with the BF sunglasses holder.

I bought a new BF one years ago and had planned to fit it at some stage.

The old BF roof lining I have has a plastic mount for the sunglasses holder and it appears to be an intregal part of it, I believe the AU mount is a separate metal one, there are a couple of extra bits of trim to fill the gaps around the AU style one.

All good to know, thanks again.
