Default Peregrine buy Malalla Raceway

Saw this pop up in my Facebook feed this morning:

http://www.thebend.com.au/mallalamotorsportpark

Not only are they building The Bend at Tailem Bend, they now own Malalla Raceway too. Good to see the Shahin family investing in motorsport in South Australia!

my only concern is that they are spending millions on Tailem bend. does this mean that they slowly wind down the only track that is its natural competitor.

The motorsport fan in me wants to believe that both tracks can be viable and florish

The cut throat business, 'bottom line comes first', sceptic in me, is worried Mallala days are numbered.

We'll just have to wait and see.

My thoughts are that they'll develop both. They are spending $100 million on the bend, so a few more million to keep Malalla up and running would be pocket change for them.

I'm sure they're passionate about motorsport enough to have both tracks running.

Now, what about AIR?

AIR.....now that is place of fond memories.

back when polaroid land cameras were common, i took a pic of Brock in MHDT commodore, and Johnson with the Blue XD, on the same day and got both of them to autograph those pics an hour later in the pits. try do that with an IPHONE!!!!!

i gave the brock pic to a holden die hard mate, and i hope i still have the Johnson pic in my album.
