does anyone know if the LSA intercooler is a front mount type or is it on the supercharger itself?
On the ZL1 forums people are having issues with massive heat soak in thier cars. The intercooler pump and heat exchanger has to be upgraded, and many people are just getting around 40hp out of the car tune only, the standard tune is pretty aggressive.

I'm not too struck on the looks but I think that brake and wheel package is fantastic on the GTS. It always amazes me how Holden can come out with new rims model by model and even have a choice.

At the moment Ford don't have a direct challenger to the GTS so I think comparisons with the best FPV has to offer is perhaps a little unfair if that's the way the mags do it.

I don't think that we should we really get hung up on whether FPV has rivals for various HSV cars,
surely this is more about pleasing respective buyer groups than reading off a laundry list of features.

With the price of SS and XR6T now at record low prices, those vehicles may attract more buyers
that would otherwise be swayed to buy new HSVs and FPVs...although I could be very wrong on that point...

While we wonder about Ford taking FPV in house, it's a great way of controlling cost
and maximizing return on investment where as Holden has to share profit with HSV...

Does anyone have an idea of projected sales for GTS?
Maybe it's not as many vehicles as we think, considering how W427 crashed and burned at $135K

I don't mind the look of it actually, even the rear - about the only part I don't like are the lights!

If I had $100k+ to play with it would be a hard decision.

The front i dig, the interior looks very nice, the rear is horrible tho IMO. Overall not my cuppa, the VE was nicer i thought

It'll sell, no worries there, tagging it the way they have ensures sales and some bragging rights for those that way inclined.
$100k is a lot of dough and none of the features of this car (although being sold as almost reinventing the wheel) are new to the planet just new to an aussie car.
whatever floats peoples boats i guess.

FPV will respond, im sure but as its always been for me the GTS has one too many consonants attached to it LOL

It's too early to gauge the value of the W427 Rodge. Give it another 10-15 years and see what it's worth. That car is very different to your mainstream HSV model and will be one of the models that the collectors want.

Also it has held it's value better than an AMG C63 or BMW M3 of the same year. Not bad for an Aussie muscle car.

GT R-Spec will another model on the collectors list too.

Well Yes, yes it does, something a lot of car makers are doing at the moment or seem to be doing anyway is goin for ugly just to test whether people will buy it still
Why can't they make thins look like they were meant to be rather than a cheap nasty fibreglass bumper bought of ebay for $50

The rectangular cut out above the number plate on the GTS will look weird when a white number plate is in position.

I captured a couple of pics from the vid. I think these give us a good indication of the road presence the GTS will have in real life. Two thumbs up from me!

I don't know why the rear isn't being well received by some, I think it's the best part of the car, it's remarkable how the squared-off boxy VE rear has transformed into something much more flowing and modern looking.

I watched the videos and thought it looked a lot better. Its going to be a beefie car on the road. The rear still reminds me of a stormtroopers pants.

Don't get me wrong I love my fords, but there is a lot of guys with inferiority complexes on here bagging the hell out of a car they have not seen in the flesh, let alone driven.
Our Fords are not the only cars on the road, Open your eyes. Our beloved Fords are most likely going to be the first to become extinct!
Grow up you clowns ! In about 5 years time you'll all be whining about the jap cars we'll all be driving,
and reminiscing about the GT'S and HSV'S , we all once loved.
I for one are saving my **** off to buy 2 cars, one of the last GTs and one of the last HSVs,
for these will be the LAST Aussie built cars that will be really desirable!
Regardless of which brand you follow
I really think we need to embrace and enjoy these last Aussie performance cars that we'll probably see!

....,,,,,, so everyone should love this car even though no one has driven one? What is the difference? No one is allowed to not like it? It might annoy some that others have a differing opinion but it annoys the hell out of me that we are told that we must love it. Get sick of repeating myself but please let others have an opinion?

Not everyone NEEDS to like it so no need to tell me to like it. I would say that 95% of people won't even see one on the road ..... let alone own one or drive it.

Just let everyone have their say without telling people they must love it? As far as this is concerned, it doesn't matter!

I prefer the styling of the SSV and Calais V over the offerings from HSV.
But....
The GTS will be a monster and much like the VT2 GTS was will be the benchmark for a while.

The equipment list and drivetrain looks impressive for the GTS. The looks are nothing special. The front end actually looks completely mismatched in that pic with Murph. Will be interesting to see what Ford do next year.
