Couldn't agree more... Objectively they are a good car, I've driven a few whilst my redline was getting serviced. Nice interior, they go pretty well (even the base model 2 litre turbo one I had first time) and would do a perfectly good job of being a family car....

Unfortunately, calling it a Commodore was a bloody stupid decision on Holden's part... they should have killed the Commodore name and let it go out on a High and call this thing something different... Or not bother at all...

Another issue is the fact that the ZB, realistically, is part of the Medium Sedan segment (with Mondeo, 6, Camry, etc) which is a segment which has been shrinking in sales numbers due to the impact of SUV's. People, on the whole, just aren't buying them in great number's anymore...
