Default 2010 LV Focus TDCI

Hi All,

I have recently brought a 2010 LV Focus TDCI. Its and auto. Done about 160k kms.

It runs ok, however the fuel economy seems to be increasing. When I got it averaged around 6l/100kms. My daily work run is about 60kms with 90 percent of it is highway. Fuel Economy has crept up 6.8l.

It also has stalled twice. Once pulling into driveway and today pulling up to t junction.

Only had vehicle about a month and dont know complete history. Suppose to had most services done at Ford.

Previous owner only did about 500 or 600 every month or so.

I added some F10 into tank a few times when i got it.

Any one come across one stalling like mine does or have a brought a lemon?

I had stalling on mine. It's a manual. The problem was with the battery terminal. I will get anywhere from 4.9lt/100 to 6.0lt/100 depending on city, country or towing. Typically best economy is at 80-100km/h. Driving at 110km/h pushes the economy down.

I am in Darwin. As discussed just brought it.

Going to work is about 90 percent 80-100. Several lights and traffic towards the one end.

Never seen 4.9, however mine is auto.

I did notice one battery lead has white powder on it, however it is all tight. Its a new battery.

Have you got an OBDII reader you can check for faults?

Interesting, so its a system that doesn't have any sensors. That probably knocks out fuel as that would register.

Yes.

I get slightly higher fuel economy if I go off others. I am averaging 6.1 driving sedately and only doing about 100kph
