Default Donating Members/Subscriptions?

I understand that the site is far from finished... but when it is will there be DM's or a subscription system, like FF has. If so i know i am willing to put a bit in to help out.

EDIT: also if any mods, etc are needed, im willing to help

Russell mentioned on here something about this site being funded for the next 2yrs or so, however im sure they'll decide whether DM status is appropriate in the near future. No doubt there will be some means of supporting the site in one way or another.

I think we're all very willing to help out in any way, i'm sure the admins know that (thats why we're here), for now i guess the best thing we can do is bring the best of FF over here and get the place fully up and running.

Not everyday people refuse free money, its great to see things were thought out well and things are covered for a while. Still wouldn't hurt having some extra spending money to keep it as a top site.

Maybe we could all put them on EBAY for sale. Would be funny to see 20 or 30 FF.com surrounds suddenly hit the market on the same day.

Good stuff guys, awesome to see the Aussie guys sticking together to support a great new Aussie forum.

I think all the new members would be more than happy to support the Aussie forum by becoming a DM.

Hi guys.

A couple of things we have considered.

1. The new logo has been made large enough to cover the existing logo on the shirts / hats given that we still have a large number of them in stock. (In my garage to be exact). When Philbie is back from holiday we will get some iron on patches made for those wishing to cover them and some sew on ones to replace the ones on new shirts / hats. Saves reinventing the wheel. Those with existing shirts can have the iron on / sew on patches with my compliments.

2. Likewise Chucky will be doing FF stickers when he is back from holidays - they will be available at cost for those who want them.

3. We are also looking at a range of branded useful products. We have access to some very good car care products in bulk that have been tested in the Velvet garage over a number of years. Phil and I will look more into this a little later.

4. You will notice that not much of the forum is visible to unregistered members. This is a deliberate decision by the admin team to avoid lurkers.

5. In the longer term I would like to create DM's again as I believe everyone should have the opportunity to support this place if it meets their needs. These funds (which would be excess effectively) could then be used for branding items (like banners / flags / signage) that can be used at public events like the All Ford days in Victoria and in other states as well. I personally see the events side as being of high importance and we will be quickly looking to appoint dedicated even coordinators in the major States.

Should have put this in a sticky somewhere given where it's going .....

6. We will shortly be providing some resources for members in the form of Ford based historical stuff - I won't leak too much of it but I think it will be of great benefit to all. Even if only as a reference source.

7. The tech info will also be back up in the next few days along with all the statistical info that was prepared before. This will be expanded further but more on that later.

Cheers
Russ
