For a strange reason I am feeling impelled to like this front end design. I guess it's true when a woman says, "it's whats up front that counts!"

Not a fan of the ute that it's on but if that front end was on a black VE sportswagon it would look great I reckon.

The 24-year-old spent three months developing the Chevrolet Camaro-inspired front-end, which he has now fitted to his own car, a Holden SS Ute.

...

“Most of the parts are factory GM parts – the bumper bar, the bonnet, the grille, the headlights everything like that,” says Bromidge. “We’ve just developed the guards and the mounting brackets.”
It took him 3 months to reshape 2 gaurds and some brackets?

Must say I hate it! I love the look of the new Camaro's and if I have a chance might by one. But really don't like it on a commodore.

Though I will say to the person who made the bar good job it does look well finished off

That is THE worst hand brake ever!

I like the front end, it looks great, I'm not sure if it really flows too well with the rest of the ute. Maybe if he knocked 2 inches off the roof height it would flow better.

It looks ok. That *** doesn't agree with the front end though. Although it looks ok, I still maintain it is full of **** factor purely due to the fact that it is not a camaro.

Not a bad kit and a little expensive as others have said I would like to see it in another colour, however (puts flame suit on) its better than the "Ford" conversion kit where you get a dome light, a lovely yellow colour and the word TAXI down the side.

I think I said enough.

Nobody was going to pay 60k for a car they cant see out of.

The elephant in the room is whether there will be a camaro conversion kit for VR/S commodores so the bogans can make the choice between the VY Clubby kit or Camaro kit.

the pontiac option looks better. i think the pontiac front looks tough as... whilst the camrodore looks very polished and well done, i feel (especially on the ute) it looks too short in the front end.

other than that, kudos on the effort.

I'd love to know how you managed it - could you take a video?

I had an R8 for 6 months and the only way I conceivably get a digit caught in the handbrake is if I didn't actually grip the handbrake naturally with my hand.

Good on him for giving it a go, it's taking the Chev badge on an SS to the extreme, but personally I am more of a fan of

badnews' Mustang Nosed AU

where an AFF member is grafting a Mustang nose onto an AU

Same could be said for anybody trying to do something different.

I see the response to the mustanged AU is very favourable but then this gets crapped on hard, interesting perspective of things here.
