Default Coil pack brands

Howdy folks,

Is there any difference in brands of coil packs.

I'm not so much talking about the high performance just the average day to day ones around the $100 - $200.

Got some prices on genuine, Bosch and ACA and would like to know if anyones found any particular that are better than others.

So Bosch came in cheapest at $114 ACA at $120 and well genuine... /cough $189

Where was the $189 for a "genuine" coil pack from? A bona fide ford distribution chain or an ebay storefront?

Bayford spares wanted $275... then gave it to me for $200 for some reason. Still ripped, lol. And after all that it didn't fix the prob.

Qford in Brisbane. I thought it was pretty good for genuine, but I must say I liked the Bosch one for $113

don't know much about the VDO coil packs but I had a genuine in my S1 Classic for 222000 kms until it died replaced it with an ACA coil pack damn thing went after 3months and 6000kms replaced with Bosch one (made in Australia too) goes good as gold.

in short had good results so far with Genuine and Bosch and bad results with ACA,

I just bought one of the VDO ones you've linked to, looks decent enough and has a 2yr/50,000km warranty on it.

www.vdo.net.au - looks like the company is owned by the Continental brand (as in the tyres), can't be too shabby!

I could be wrong but think original for the series I was a Bosch and series II and III used a Visteon.
