Unhappy Busselton Ford Dealer Closing Down

Just received mail from Geographe Ford stating that they are closing up shop and that Bunbury will be the only Location.

Date of closing 2nd October 2018.

Also says that they will be adding a mobile service van to their workshop in Bunbury for our general services and repairs to be done at our homes.

Sad as this dealer has been here many years but I have noticed sales have dwindled last 4 years. Essentially a Ranger dealer.

Just a heads up for any South West WA Members.

Had my cars serviced and repaired by them a few times where great to deal with. Sad.

Sad to hear, and I was just thinking the yard was starting to look a bit better... I remember it was really dwindling when I did work experience there in 2011.
Noticed they got a red Ranger Raptor the other day too.

Can't be a good time for the employees there either.

I remember Centre Ford closing down late 2013, it was such a surprise. Ford Australia has effectively become the Ranger/Mustang company.

Apparently we’re the beneficiaries of FTA’s negotiated by successive governments. How’s that worked out for Mitsubishi, Ford, Holden and Toyota factory workers?

Tropical Ford Rockhampton must survive on Mitsi, Kia, Isuzu and Great Wall.
Lawrences Holden only has Suzuki to fall back on. DC Motors has Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Renault, Jeep, Mercedes, Subuaru and Ram.
Prestige Motors has VW, Skoda, Citroen, LDV and MG!
Mazda dealer is only Mazda. Toyota dealer also sells Land Rover and Jaguar. Not many stand alone dealers these days. Need other brands to survive.
