Hi just wondering what the best way to install a mesh grill (i bought from autobarn) on the front bumper of an ba xr6 is? I've cut it down to the right width but i'm not sure what is best to hold it in place?

G'day Bozza,
If it is the mesh that comes in a sheet then after you have cut it an left some extra to fold over then you can use sicaflex to hold it in place. It is messy but it does the job. I used it on my last car before I got a aftermarket grill and it stayed put until I pulled it out. Cheers, Ken

I am surprised, you sixers arn't as silly as you look..Hahahaha.......
Sikaflex is the way to go. Make sure you get the 11FC, it is in a yellow cartrige and is fastest curing time.... |

Yep sika a phone book and race tape. Tape around the mesh to hold it until the sika has time to dry the phone book will keep it flush to the front of the bar then remove tape carefully and you are good to go.

You better believe it you would be amazed at what will pass for a special tool. I have to say though the last grill I fitted I used broken bits of brick that were used to hold a car up after some young gents stole the wheels off it while it was sitting on the lot.
