Default Front suspension overhaul

Hi all, just after some advice or what to buy, or more importantly what not to buy. 07 lt petrol hatchback. 160k want to give the front end an overhaul, struts, wishbones and top mounts. Can anyone recommend some? I put sachs rear struts on it last year and they seem good. Mark

Default Re: Front suspension overhaul

Hi Mark,
Ive got mk1’s, close enough. The sach front shocks will be fine using your springs and installing a new mounts. anything with a worn bush will need replacing and loose sway bar links can be changed over.
Brands? Sach is fine and I use the sachs/trw mounts. Have used a set of their shocks on a family mk1 sedan a few years ago and they are still tight.
If you can get your part numbers, you may find them on rockauto or ford parts giant etc.
My cars are 02-04 so they need everything replaced. Ive upgraded one car with a bilstein b12 kit which was well worth it. another car will get the same set and the rest can stay stock.
