Default Important (to me :P) -- head unit brackets

I have asked in wanted section but because it's e-series part this will get more attention.

sup, I need head unit brackets from an ef/el .. important .
PLEASE ANYONE ???

I've been asking / looking around for coming to TWO week .. i need head unit brackets from an ef or an el ...

I am willing to pickup no more than 30 minute drive from werribee ... i am also willing to pay $10 .

I have been to a few wreckers, one call westall ford/holden wreckers ... they keep telling me to coming back in another week, and tomorrow... i'm getting the run around .. there is 2 cars there that have the brackets but no idea how to get the screws out because it has security screws... and neither them nor me have the tool to do the job.

The pick-a-part in Kilsyth has a Ef with the stock headunit still in it, but Kilsyth is the other side of town from you

Only way you could do it is get a set posted to you, but im sure there is a member who has some stock brackets from there old headunit that they can give you.....

is the security screw the star one with the bit in the middle? i just used a small flat screwdriver on one side of the centre bit, and turned carefully but very firmly. it worked for me, worth a try i guess?

Have you priced up some new ones from Ford spares? Can't see them being that dear.
As fairlane_ghia said, get a security torx bit set too, they come in handy, there are torx fasteners all over EF/ELs.
