open your case, unplug the ram and plug it back in. is your case dirty inside? is it well ventilated? unplug the video card and put it back in firmly. give it a try.

can you fill in the following?
CPU:
Motherboard:
RAM:
PSU (watt):

failing that...
get a cd version of xp pro. do NOT use that dvd pre-installed rubbish.

boot from xp cd.
erase everything, delete all partitions
format hd and install xp
install all updates, sp2,
install latest version of your motherboard chipset drivers,
get latest ati drivers i think there was another recent release.
get some decent anti spyware programs.
i recommend spywareguard and spywareblaster available free at
www.javacoolsoftware.com
update them both

get the latest updates for any software you are trying to run.

failing that, post again and we'll see about testing the ram etc
