Mate , what size is your dash face ? Mine is about 195mm x 480mm off memory , with the 4 smaller 2 inch gauges. Your smaller gauges look bigger than mine..

488mm x 153mm is the size of the black acrylic. The smaller gauges are 2-5/8 inch.

Hi Bluekoop,

First up just wanted to say really nice coupe bud.

With your rims 19x10 and 18x8, did they fit straight in or require some panel work or any other mod? I'm trying to decide whether to go old school 15x10 & 15x8 or go with some new style deep dish like yours.

Love your dash and steering wheel to, would like to get more details re the dash off you if possible.

Cheers

Thanks xakewtd.

the only work to to guards is the inner lip of the front guards are cut back a little, but I had that done aaaages ago when the car was originally resprayed. same with the rear guards that are rolled, there is so much room there that it isn't required. pm me what details you want to know about the dash.

ok cheers for the gaurds info. i was not wanting to have to roll or shave the lips but obviously will if absolutuely nessessary.

i will pm you about the dash and some ideas i have and whether there feasable or not. but in seeing your dash/gauge setup i may just rethink my ideas and follow a similar line as you mate!

how many HP do you have at the engine with that setup? 450- 500?

Blue Led's are ebay specials, they even dim with the factory switch.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8x-BLUE-S...#ht_3048wt_905

Much cheaper than buying the autometer or stewart warner versions.

What does your headlight switch look like?

My mates have red and green led gauges but they can't dim there's and it gets a bit much after a while lol.

The headlight indicator is cut all the way through the acryllic, then behind that is a small pvc cap with a blue led i it..... since the led is poting upward in the cap it doesn't shine straight into the drivers eyes.... It just lights up inside the cap and shines blue through the cutout.

So do use the factory head light on/off switch? If so does it have the dash board gauge dimmer that works with the LED's or is there one that comes with the eBay LED kit?

I have about 2 months before I start the build and just want to finalize all the minor details as best as I can so I'll apoligize now for all the questions lol.

Been busy buffing the paint for the summernats. Thanks to Waxit.com.au for all the advice! I used 2000 grit wet and dry on a few deep scraches, they are now gone all together! The pics speak for themselves.

Bet you two were glad you spent so much time detailing your cars. I saw both of them on the grassed area on Saturday. Both were very dusty from the driving events!! They both looked great though. i will post phots when i find them.

It happens every year with the street judging. Next year I'm not even going to get judged and enjoy myself and the car on the Saturday. Would be great to see your pics mate!

For an update, I did my cousins wedding a couple weeks ago. Only downside is that I lost reverse and need to pull the gearbox out to get it fixed. Anyways here is a couple phone pics.
