Question Locked threads versus deleted threads

Why do the mods sometimes lock threads but other times delete complete threads? A thread of mine has gone AWOL yet I got no warning so clearly I had not breached any site rules.

It's at the discretion of each individual moderator and as individuals they will react to different things in different ways. Personally, the thread title used was going to attract moderator attention and while I have no real issue with it some might.

Cheers
Russ

Depends on the mind set of a mod. If they feel the thread is borderline but has either deteriorated beyond repair or has just run its course it might just get closed but still there for interests sake. If a mod feels that the thread hasn't added anything to the forums or is not suitable under T&C's it can be removed totally. What was the thread you are looking for and can let you know where it is at

If a thread gets moved or deleted it can be done so without the poster knowing. Usually if something disappears, most understand the reasons why. It isn't done as punishment to the OP. Just keeping things tidy most times
