Default Ecolpi modification

Is it concievable to add petrol to this engine.Reason being the dwindling number of lpg outlets so a tripnorth becomes problematic when towing a caravan I Hope it is not impossible crockitt

Not really. They run a 12:1 compression ratio, so would require a very high octane fuel, and a decent aftermarket ECU & tune.

Also, the "gas shortage" issue is nowhere near as bad as the media (and posts on here) make out.

Get yourself the govt "Fuel watch" app, or Gas Buddy, and set the fuel type to LPG. It will show you all the nearby outlets, and recent pricing. You can scroll the map, and pinch to zoom in etc. That way you can plan out your trip knowing where they all are.

As well as my LPi daily (that I also tow with) I have a straight gas car that only gets 200km to the tank, and I've had no issues on long interstate trips (8-10 hours) with it.

All the Major fuel stations on major Highways will still have LPG. its not an issue.
