It is the old Ampol on the Cnr Federal Highway & Antill Street, Watson - it is now a BP servo.

Haha no I actually got a new set of tyres the week after the Alpine cruise

Has an electrical issue preventing it from starting - I suspect one of the computers/control modules has had a seizure. Will probably be another week or so until its fixed (I hope).

Hey mine had an electrical issue yesterday with the starting .

For some time now it could take 2 or 3 pushes of the start button to get from "click click" but yesterday it gave up alltogether .

Push started it and took it to ESP in Queanbeyan (have a great auto elec in thier workshop) .

Starter motor had siezed solid $380 later and only a few hours off the road a genuine replacement was in and rockin .

Trust me Brad, I've had this thing at an auto electrician for just over 2 weeks now and the starter motor was the first thing crossed off the list.

Its got everyone scratching their heads...

I hate to say this but maybe you could take it to Ford, dont they have a fault reader they can plug in to find out the issue?? Once you know what it is tow the car to a proper mechanic/auto electrician and it will be all sweet!

I remember I had an issue with my cruise control not working and took it to an auto electrician and it took them 2 days to work out the switch at the back of the brake pedal that turns off the cruise control automatically when you hit the pedal was in need of replacement.

My father-in-law and I went down the coast today with a car trailer and loaded it on and brought it back to McGraths at Woden (made sure there were no pics taken! ). Spoke to Sean there so hopefully all will be revealed soon.

The sparkie at the coast has been on the phone to heaps of people (including McGraths) but had been unable to pinpoint the cause of the problem. Hopefully it will be a simple fix once McGraths get it on the diagnostic gear. Won't go into too much detail here - will fill you all in when I see you.

Chris, thanks very much for the offer - will keep it in mind next time something else happens!

Will let you all know how I get on.

Hi all. Really looking forward to this. It will be the maiden voyage for a set of Brembo 4/4s on my LTD. Big thanks to a fellow club member with an AU who used to own them.

Fitting them up tomorrow, so all being well, I should be able to stop really really well on the way to pizza!

See you all on Sunday.
Cheers
Stu R

Phoontastic, ya might have to move to Sydney to keep the phoon company. Probably getting a little lonely up there.
