Arrow Expression of Interest West Coast Overnight Club Run March 8th and 9th 2008

Hey everyone,

We are just after an Expression of interest in those that are wanting to come along on the March long weekend overnight run.

Details
Start in Latrobe on the 8th and head to Queenstown for the night. Along the way we travel via Railton, Sheffield, Cethana, Cradle Mountain, Zeehan and Strahan.

The next morning we will leave Queenstown and travel through Mt Arrowsmith, Hamilton, Bothwell, Poatina, Cressy and finish up in Longford.

Due to the success of the East Coast run there will be various activities held at stops along the way.

We will be staying at the Chancellor Inn in Queenstown at the cost will be $100 twin share which includes buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.

Thw club will require a $50 deposit payable by the christmas break up cruise.

More details will follow at a later date.

These are some fantastic roads that will put a smile on most drivers faces, and not forgetting passengers there will be activities for them to complete!

Hello All,

Just an update, the committee is looking at finishing the event in greater Hobart now instead of Longford. This is to just even up the travel for all members.

Full details will be posted as soon as it is finalised.

Cheers
Tim

We're definitely interested, the east coast trip was excellent.
I won't know for sure if we can make it until the end of October though, been asked to do a wedding in Broken Hill sometime in March '08.

Default Update

We plan to start in Latrobe at Bells Parade on Saturday the 8th and head to Queenstown for the night. Along the way we will travel via Railton, Sheffield, Cethana, Cradle Mountain, Zeehan and Strahan. For lunch on this day it will be BYO.

Due to the success of the East Coast run there will be various activities held at stops along the way. There may also be a couple of opportunities for some photos in places such as Reece Dam (time permitting).

We will be staying at the Chancellor Inn in Queenstown at the cost will be $100 twin share which includes buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.

The next morning we will leave Queenstown and travel through Mt Arrowsmith, Hamilton, New Norfolk and back up the Midlands Highway to finish up in Kempton for presentations and lunch.

Lunch will be at the Huntington Tavern Kempton. We will be able to order directly from the menu so people will be able to choose from a counter meal to lighter lunch depending on preferences.

A lot of these roads are fairly low trafficked, scenic and great drivers roads so pack a change of clothes and come along, enjoy the drive and have a great relaxing weekend away from home.

The club will require a $50 deposit payable by the Christmas break up cruise.

Price fo children are as follows.
0-6 years No cost
6-12 $40
13 and up $50
Essentially the room is paid for the cost is only for Tea and Brekky.

More details will follow at a later date including times of departures/arrivals etc.

Can understand the commitment part. It is mainly so we can secure the motel down the west coast as it books out quickly. But that doesnt mean you have to miss out at all. If closer to the date you can make it, then we can look at squeezing you in It's about time we see the TS along on a trip

I can soon fix that for you :P Send it round to me :P

I'm sure one of the boys would be a navigator for you on the overnighter. Some nice roads on the west coast, if you catch my drift : :

Yeah same. Most likely will be there for part of it but won't require accommodation.

Was my first outing and had a top time, lots of fun and great cars. My partner became a bit "off colour" from the windy roads at times but she still is still keen to go on the next cruise !

Normally I would say yes to the above statement :hihi: . But in the interest of trying to get more members along to the next one, I will say that it was a great weekend. Lots of nice roads to drive along and test out the new brakes Was also great to catch up with everyone on the Saturday night and have a few drinks and just talk about general stuff.
I can definitely recommend to all our members that they come along and try one of the overnight trips.
