Has this car been run down the quarter yet ??

Plus, is their gonna be JMM Turbo kit price list sometime on the site ?

Next year when time permits the "Time Machine" will be fitted with an auto and all the other tuff bits. Keep your eyes open for it when it comes out it should be exciting for all of us, me included

The kit we are testing on the car will be available later this year we hope. The heart of the kit will be the exhaust manifold and the turbo. We are looking to make two kits:

T1 kit for upto 300 rwkw
T2 kit for upto 450 rwkw

Parts will be available separate or as a whole kit or fitted inhouse.

Currently we have in production the Turbo style heads, turbo valves and valve train componentry, Three stages of turbo cams, and 20cc dish pistons for EL to EL 4 litres.

So JMM have moved away from superchargers then?

I never really liked the powerdynes anyway. Vortex superchargers always appealed to me as a better thing.

Any way along with Ford you are moving to turbocharging eh.

Very interesting can't wait to see what can be done.

I guess though the development is based around upgrading BA N/A's to turbo.

Or are the kits going to be for the OHC range E-A-BA?

judging by the fact that they're talkin about pistons for earlier models to drop compression, my guess is the kits are for those of us without the funds for a BA
Pricing will be interesting :o

This is the problem you take your 157fwkw car and mod it to 200fwkw like the highest std power output in the body series with the std drivetrain and all is good but go beyond that and the cost of doing it properly makes going out and buying a S/H BA XR8 look like a cheap and easy exercise.

Still not the same as doing it yourself though.

The mighy 4 speed auto's are fast becoming renowned for a little of their great toughness. When a BTR is built well and the line pressure is correct so that shifts are quick and dont add to heat build up, they can handle quite a bit. However 300 rwkw with an auto would equate to approz 340 to 350 rwkw with a manual, so a comfy 260rwkw with the auto would be screamin.....fit this with a JMM 3000 hi stall and some good traction and very low 12's and mid 11's are in sight.

I think you should also take into account that a highly tuned, low boost 300 rwkw car isn't something most people like to drive every day.....Give me a good 260 rwkw in an e series and I'm in heaven.

keeping this in mind, why dont you develope a 250 rwkw series, providing mroe ease on the tranny/componantry. and thus possibly more reliability ?

not being rude or treying to press the situation, but if jmm can provide a kit that puts out around 250 rwkw for around the 6-7-8 grand mark, i think they woudl make alot of sales.

jsut my 2c

Has anyone ever turbo'd the AU XR6 VCT engine? My uncle just got a 260rwkw GT-P and my Dad wants to catch up, I don't think he will get there with a supercharger, so if these kits will work on the VCT engine then you have another potential customer.
