+ low 11's for a car that can be driven around daily without any stall, turbo timer, crazy short diff gears in my opinion is awesome... sick of all these trailer queens.
Most daily high powered turbo 6s are into the 9s or low 10s . 11s is so SLOW...

Plenty of Barra’s making over 500 rwkw on stock motors and reliable run low 10”s standard diff gears 550rpm idle try that with ya 408w boat anchor

You ever drive a worked F6 with valve springs, bigger intercooler, battery relocation kit, pump, injectors etc etc….

They are incredible.

If you are comparing that to a glorified vacuum cleaner you are on something other than alcohol- and I am including the strongest scotch and vodka here

Do you actually get out to meets and shows much because in my 10 years of meet and greets I've across 2 people that have daily driven their 10 second car and it wasn't for long! 11's is not slow for an actual daily driven car that gets driven everywhere day in and day out and used for all purposes. 95% at least of the "daily driven" 9 or 10 second cars are the types that only get driven in the dry, weekends only or strapped with a set of slicks and a tank of E85 for a late night punt at some car "meets".

Why compare n/a LS to forced induction? Plenty of forced induction LS engines getting around.

But not to say plenty of cammed LS’s wouldn’t take on some turbo’d Falcons.

Cammed VF2 LS3 runs 12.5 seconds all day every day at 117mph.

They sound ****, probably leak and use oil like a pig but they're fast no doubt.

Compare apples with apples.

You sound a little full of yourself with your snide remarks I must say. So what’s a modified N/A Barra capable of up against a modified N/A LS?

Plenty of LS engines with more power than your Falcon I can assure you. They can eat their packed lunch at the finish line while they wait for you.

To come even close to the weight of a 302 you'll have to use the late model block which is 600-700hp max so your close to the top end of what they can handle and Rev limited. .....only 2 bolt mains if you're gonna beat on it like that you'll need a dart block or similar and theyre heavy ............I love Windsors but you've gotta be realistic

Last time I ran a 15 second 1/4 mine I nearly fell asleep.

Even my slow commodore must be faster than that,,

old mate xeeclipse, you are making us au owners look more insane than we are.

we get that you love the au but comparing it to barras and coyotes and saying they are faster and better is a long stretch of a bow, ive seen a 408 windsor in action and i don't want that as a daily

Some bushwhaker that sticks a dirty big stick in an engine and bolts on a Holley with just jets and power valve (90% of the enthusiasts), I agree.

Some aren't that belligerent and expect a little more then the joe wearing thongs, singlet, bevy in one hand and a fag in the other.

No one here supposedly has the budget to build a real injected windsor? Instead they Nancy around in 12+ second zone with 347's, 342's and 302's.

What would it cost me to put a proper built one into my pursuit 250? I want to retain manual and city drivability and run a low 10.

$20K minimum, 10 second car is going to require 500-600hp at least and doing that naturally aspirated is going to be a task keeping it driveable on 408 cubes unless you want to turn it to 8000 RPM

Can you even do 408 cubes on a 302 block or does it need to be the taller deck 351W?

It has to be the 351W. 408 cubes is the perfect balance between power and torque. The cost would be well in excess of $20K, I would have thought.

But what does a clubsport’s tail pipes have to do with a ss redline? Wouldn’t the regular commodore be more comparable on the plastic scale than a product from HSV?

It was a response to the fg11 being plastic looking.....I thought the ssv was more plastic looking ....then commented about the clubsport’s fake tips ? Being plastic looking .....what's not to understand?
