I think local coffee shops being open is a local thing - some locations (intra-State and inter-State) are playing by the rules others aren't

Nothing new there.

What do you watch how people scan in ? how can you tell they do it right or not ? hang right near them ? I've never or would bother got no time for that and again thats their prob in turn comes back and bites us abiding rank and file who try to do the right thing for the big picture, whatever that is to some.
Yes I do, as I am writing my details folk walk up and the Q code is right next to me, I see the black screen?..after I sign in I use hand sanitiser and also wipe pen.
I am off to Woolies soon shopping, sign in, wash hands and pen, get trolley and sanitise hand grip?...
Everytime, and my phone stays in glovebox.
I don't trust the average person to do the right thing, but I cover my own back, just to compensate for those who dont!

Cheers Billy.

hi

with hospitality being understaffed am thinking the reasons why so many at moment during coronavirus are leaving is because of

1.the industry already being known for short breaks and long hours made busier because of people holidaying home and people are tired.

2. people have probably done it with short breaks and unsociable hours for 10-15-20-25 years and have probably had enough of the non standard hours and were probably already thinking of leaving and the restrictions and lockdowns gave them a chance to re-evaluate things.

3. people have worked harder with the industry being busier with people holidaying home and suffering burnout.

4. when the industry closed/only did takeaway with some restrictions they had to find temporary work and once re-opened they probably decided to stay with the other work with it possibly being easier and probably same money in less time and didnt want to go back to a industry that is known for short breaks and unsociable hours.
