Default The best thing/s that have happened to you.

This thread was inspired by DONUT QUEEN from a comment in another thread.

Not in order but the best things that have happened to me are:

My kids from my 1st marriage.

My first dog a Rotty who needed a good home when he was 7 mths old and unfortunately got stomach cancer when he was six and had to go to doggie heaven...he was my best mate and is missed.

My 3rd wife whom I met because of my Rotty..took him to obedience school...and a few years later she asked me to marry her...now that blew me away but here we are 11yrs and still very much in love and very happy.

My beloved helping me to clean up my act.

My old job of 30+yrs in Aviation Rescue and Firefighting..the best damn job in the world.

Well guys thats not everything but its what stands out at the moment.

1 : My Kids
2 :then a big Thanks to my EX as she was to lazy to cook or clean or do anything with the kids so i did
And in doing so i meet my current girlfriend (soon to be engaged ) and it is the best thing .
3 : The time i get to spend working on the cars and the G/F helps as much as she can ( Nothing better then a chick working on her own car )
4 : I made the Country Cup side ( 8-Ball ) for the last 5 years straight with 1 allstar (top player in the state)
There is heaps more but thats whats most to me at the moment oh and sleeping ,drinking , music.

Well were do i start.

My best freind and wife. If it wasn't for her I would be dead literally. She saved me from myself. I was not a very nice person back then. I have her to thank for were I am today. She is my inspiration and the love of my life I don't no what I would have done with out her for the last 18 years.

My daughter. What can i say she is the reason i do what i do day to day.

And the last one is for the close knit groupe of freind i have around me. They make me what i am. Lucky. What more can I say.

generally in order here because i believe things happen in life because of choices we have made along the way. call it fate, if you like.

the birth of my 3 children

divorce from their mother leaving me single @30. still young enough to start again.

meeting my 2nd wife. without the above this would not have happened.

being in a job that offers great monetry reward. which my wife pushed me to apply for.

being married to the best woman. well she has to be, to put up with me.

Hmmm interesting thread:

3 kids and the fourth BIG KID, my hubby (he's my best friend).

My doggie, she is brilliant and I love her so much.

Separating from my hubby for four months a few years ago, it was heart wrenching but if we hadn't have done it, we'd still be on the same blame/hate merry-go-round.

Reading some life changing books such as Conversations With God (1, 2 & 3), The Ethical Slut (yes there is a book of that name!) and Choice Theory.

Finding a job I enjoy.

Waking up every day to a beautiful world full of wonder and light.

Awww thanks for starting this and giving me some of the credit hehe. There's a few things that have been really great in my life but I wanted to mention this one here. Thanks to DonutKing for meeting me, moving in with me and, as of last week, for proposing to me.

** EDIT: Yes, I said yes and we are now engaged. **

: - easily pleased!

A few things come to mind for me but Im not so sure Id call them "best things" - more like "things that we terrible at the time but taught me a lot and made me get to where i am today".
Hopefully the All Ford Day will be a success, that'll make me really happy.

I am 17, unmarried with no children (that I know of anyway...)

At the moment I am just happy cruising around in my ED Monty Ghia.

Enjoy what you have now and look forward to what the future holds. There is so much potential out there!

Congrats to the soon to be Mr and Mrs Donut!

Yeah i'm on the meeting my girlfriend back at University, and then asking her out in 1999, getting engaged this year and getting married in possibly a few years....

Then there are my two puppies, my house and my friends (not necessarily in that order).

We're not together anymore but I can't deny that 3 of the 4 years I spent with my ex were the best.

hmmm.. these post will make my life seem shallow.. all this 'meeting my partner and having kids stuff' but anyway,
The best things that have happened to me
1. All my volunteer work within the community and with disabled kids, turned my life around and made me a better person
2. Owning my xb (wanted one for ages and i just love my car, i couldn't be without it! It make look crappy but it drives better than any BA - well thats what i think and im stickin to it)
3. Going state level dressage with my horse, Bundy! (took 10 years but i got there and still am!!)
4. Meeting u guys :
5. Getting off my P plates, no one thought i would make it!
6. Staying single for as long as i have, been through a lot less heartache than my mates and i'm thankful for that! But things will change....

Wow, the best things that have ever happened to me?

-The day i got given my parchment after 4 yrs at uni.
-Once I saw a cat, that was pretty cool.

That's about it... the rest of those 24 years has been pretty average....
