Still got the low ratio "commercial" diff, go for a taller one if you gonna do a fair bit of open road cruising, think the sedans were 40 kph for every 1000 rpm, but hey, nice looking car mate! the XB's were definately the best looking x series, enjoy!!!!

I got thinking about this "3000 at 100K". The BF manual XR8 does 105K at 3000. Not much differnce. But the the BF still has 2 gears to go.

Cheers, and enjoy your van.....

yeah ive got a pic of a xc pano with them along the sides. although i might just black out my side windows.
-cut the exhaust back (had a look and the exhaust's already got an attachment) and put chrome tips on

- fix my air shockies in the back and jack it up a bit :P (for commercial reasons of course...)

-hook my driving lights up (they look good for show but would help at night.)
-put a stereo in (its got 140W'ers at the front and 6x9's at the back)
-id like to repaint it but that would be expensive
-put in powersteering
-put in a air conditioner compressor and condensor
-sunroof :P
-one of those panelvan spoilers that look good
-probably need mufflers lol (pretty loud)
-new heads (hardened seats)
-a GT scoop on the rear quarter
-have the nasa scoops blackened out
-deck out the rear end
-get a tail gate door from an XC
-get a PIMP sticker on the back lol.
thats my wishlist get back to me in 10 years and see how far ive come lol

I had a sunroof in my Sandman. I love the old pano's. Wish I still had my old one. Great find. Great looking car. Well done.

You need one of those stickers "Don't laugh, you daughter could be inside" :

and then when you turn 40 you change the sticker to "dont laugh, your WIFE could be inside".

PLEASE don't put a sunroof in it. Nothing worse than seeing that, it detracts from the rest of the car.

oh that explains it, my old pano had a sticker saying
"don't laugh parts of your daughter may be inside" it wasn't a great chick magnet. lol

I did mount a small 12v oscillating fan, it was good to move the air around, particularly on a summers evening.

Ahhhh Memories ...... Really cool ride ,looks in good cond. too There were heaps of "shagin wagons" around when I was in my late teens - & 20's , fantastic interiors . One of my mates used to "freak-out" the chicks when they got in his van , painted across the roof (inside) was "Virgins Graveyard" :

As for the side windows , I used Thin Black Curtain material on my Van & Wagons , can't see in but you can still see out for parking .
