Was the Powershift used in England or Europe at all and if so why did it work there and not here, or was it a heap of doo doo over there too?

17 pages and almost 4 years worth of unhappy DSG customers.

The humor about the CVT trans, its 100 times better than the Focus DSG.
Without doubt the DSG Focus the worse auto ever driven and owned, best way to describe it ''dangerous confusion''.

Ford are actively seeking owners and offering deals to trade out of there DSG problems and into new models.

Yes it was offered, but the difference is that they have real drivers there, the vast majority of whom choose manual. Focus and Fiesta are among the top three selling cars in the UK, because they are brilliant cars to drive.

True.
Fiesta no:1 by a mile 43,000 units ahead of the 2nd placed Vauxhall Corsa. Focus is 3rd.

Further to that, most of the Focusses (Focii?) and Fiestas sold in the UK are diesels, so even if a customer had opted for automatic (why would you?), the wet clutch Powershift transmissions fitted to diesels are not the same as the dry clutch Powershift ones fitted to petrols.

What has the heater core failure got to do with the new improved clutch fitment ?
I am hearing lots about "new clutch" fitment and heater core failure a few weeks later?

I have no idea how it's related or if it even is but mum had a clutch replacement carried out and a week later the car was back in for a new heater core.
