Default BA/BF FPV jack point cover

I, like may other B series FPV owners had lost both of my jack point covers on the Tornado. At first I was adamant that the first one had been nicked from the passenger side, but when the drivers side went missing i had come to the conclusion hitting any puddle with speed could may well have pushed them out. As the chances of these covers coming up locally and not costing the world were minimal, id almost given up on replacing them.
A random search on ebay landed me onto these:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-BA-B...oAAOSwr~lYqqW4
I purchased 2 each, painted in EGO and delivered and it come to $160. A far cry cheaper than the genuine ones.
They have been moulded off a genuine item, fit really well and the effort the seller goes to, to make sure the colour is correct is amazing. I wasn't aware but there is 3 versions of Fords EGO, all everso slightly different but still, the extra effort was made to ensure i got the right colour for my Tornado.
I just thought id share my findings on these and hope it helps those looking for jack point covers.
Cheers
Shane

I saw those a little while ago and was going to buy a set for spares but wasn't sure about the quality.

Thanks for sharing.

It's a typical late model stupid design.....the'll fall out driving along, but if you need to remove them to jack up the car they are stuck in like the peverbial to a blanket.

Like the common problem of falling out driving lights on FPV's. When one fell out of my BF F6, Sunshine Ford on the Gold Coast told me they wouldn't replace it under warranty because my car had scratches under the front apron. WTF! Due to the low front on these cars both my BF and FG got scratched on parking logs and such despite my best attempts to avoid it.

The lame brain excuse (Dealer told me it was a Ford directive) was that the light could have been jolted out after the apron hit something. Ford service NOT.

That's why there is no more falcon. Disappointing service help bring them down. I have never been happy with ford service. Once bitten twice shy

I've just replaced one at a cost of $178 painted so it would have been great to have seen this 2 weeks ago! I've now got both of them attached with a small self tapper through the inner edge where it can't be seen.

Cheers
Russ

I have a spare left and right covers, unpainted.
If any one is looking for one, let me know. They are my spares that I bought for my Typhoon, but as I sold the car, I don't need these spares any more.
