Default Performance Servicing

As a lot of our customers already know we have started to offer performance servicing which goes beyond what ford dealerships/Handbook will ever do in servicing your car...
The aim of this service is to improve your cars performance.
Well over the past 4 months and doing a lot of cars i came across the worse i have seen so far...
Here are some pics of under the plenum and trottle body to show how bad built up can get.

This car has done 130,000klm FPV GT auto, completly Stock with SS inductions CAI
The car has been serviced by a ford dealership all its life and not only at the one place, as you can see with a little TLC the cars responed well.

As you can see the car has picked up from 232.4Kw to 254.4Kw.

Basic service starts at $300 which includes a few little tricks thrown in.
Performance Servicing starts at $550 and goes up depending on the level of service needed and has before and after dyno runs to check the health of the car.
This car had the $550 service with auto service $130 4Spd

Yes oil catch cans stop this from happening ...

I think this car was more effected due to the type of oil being used.

Our new catch cans will be realised very soon now.

What a great idea and all that for a very reasonable price.

Only $130 for an auto service hey, might have to add that to my "Bluepower to do" list I have, might as well get that done along with everything else.

Just wondering how long it would take to service both the car and the auto box?
Also, whether that includes making the shifts firmer in the auto, or is that only the domain of the flash box?

Cheers Adam..
We also use Castrol Edge 0w40 on all our V8 street cars..
The race car gets something special that not avaliable in Aust.
We also use FUCHS as thats what some of our customers want to run and seems to be a good product.
There are a few top end oils out there and they all seem to do a good job.
Oils like GTX3 and Magentic i would be staying away from.

Basic Service and auto service takes about 1 hour, depending on free hoists at the time...
They only way to firm up the shift on these cars is to do it with software (SCT/HP Tuners) to add the life of the auto.
Shift kits or dilling out S5's, only shorterns the life of a auto gearbox.
With our other two shops Northern diff and Trans Diff, we see so many blow gearboxes from backyard work or shift kit boxes you wire into the loom your $40 cheap fix turns into $2000 auto rebuild job.

Hope this helps..

Even made a little more power over MOTUL TurboLite 10W 40 which i used to run for a long time...

They are a remote can thats put inline to the vacum from the intake to collect the burnt oil vapours that normally would go through the engine...
If you look at the pics at the start of this thread it will reduce the effects of oil built up on plenums and trottle body's..

Doing ZF Auto Service wont be cheap...
The pan of the auto is one with the filter and cost $$$$ and transmax Z is not the cheapest either..
They are about the $450 mark but only really need to be done if the have had a hard time..

What do you think of the Royal Purple full synthetic if you have used it?

I run Royal Purple 10/40 in my XR8. Good stuff. I was goin to run 5/30 or 0/40 but after speaking to the guys at royal purple was told that 10/40 is my safest bet with a 260 as 0/40 is to light for start up on them and 5/30 may be a little light at optemp for daily driving.

Cheers
Glenn

Hey,
Just been looking at external transmission coolers. Considering that my car has done 185000 km, is it worth putting one in? If I bought it, would you be able to fit it, when I get my auto trans and engine serviced? If so, how much,
Thanks heaps,

I have pulled mine apart like that three times in its 80,000 life and it keeps it running well. Amazing that a full service by a ford dealer and one of the most imprtant parts to clean running performance is well over looked by them. Hopless they are and thats why I have serviced my car my self from the beginning. The cleaning of the plenum and T/B takes me an hour.

I know there are issues with warrenty but the 3000 rpm limit in the tune box is a good idea if you are only getting a service done. Ive used it a few times and once for when I got the car transported from Bris to Mel. Sorry for slight off topic there.
Bottom line though is I don't trust them.
