wife's friend has recently bought a 2000 laser (KN??).
it has had the drivers side locking mechanism replaced after a break in. the problem it has now is that all doors but the drivers door lock by remote, what is needed to rectify this? if I reprogram the remote will this fix it, if so how do I do that. thanks in advance.

From your description (and after converting my 86 Laser to central locking) i would say that the lock for the door is not connected electrically either by the way of the plug or maybe the drivers door lock is separately fused. If the unit is run off the alarm system then reprogramming wont work as the rest of the doors work.. so maybe pull the door skin off and check the wiring..!! hope its something easy.. HTH..
