Default Best Fuel

Hey, I was wondering what was the best fuel to use for a Mk2. Since it is leaded I am currently using those little add-ins with premium unleaded. I was wondering what other people use and what works well? Road and track.
Also there seems to be a little bit of fuel being blown through the exhaust, can anyone help there?

I use the highest octane available at whatever servo I fill up at - then add upper cylinder lube AND octane boost. I double the amount of booster if I can only get 95 instead of the preferred 98. Expensive motoring but at least the motor will last for a good while until I'm ready to rebuild it for unleaded 98 (or LPG).

Fuel down the exhaust? Carby kit maybe ....

I used to use the upper cylinder lube but that got really annoying after a while so i took the head off and got the valves changed so i can use normal fuel just like any modern car. Although i do run premuim through every second or third tank just to clean it out. The vavle conversion only costs about $110 if u take the head on/off urself.
