It will still only taste like whatever it tasted like in 1952.

I LOVE 151!

Neat over rocks...mmmmm!

Huge fan of rum and Bacardi in particular. My normal drink is Bacardi and coke with a squeeze of fresh lime.. Bacardi gold or Oro over ice neat or if I'm feeling fruity a nice dark rum and peppermint... Woods 100 for that one...

Bacardi 8 also deserves a mention.

I used to run a cocktail bar, so have sampled most spirits at some point! :

One trick is to fill your empties with tea.Same colour and makes your collection look better. Even makes it funny when people crack a bottle open and find out its tea not rum.

Some of them, like the spiced rum, Canadian club but things like the 2007 Bundy 8y/o will be staying on the shelf (especially considering how much it cost).

Good advice. Guys at work said the same exact thing. Might have to give that a try. Full ones look better than empty ones.

I got my ticket for the Lockyer rum launch, site practically went into melt down and the company running said tickets were all gone in the first 30secs. Yet I managed to get mine at around 11am an hour after registration opened.

If your looking for a good laugh, check out the Bundy Rum facebook page. A lot of people ****ed off about the bungled launch.

I'd be ****ed off to if it wasn't par for the very sh***y bundaberg course

If you have already registered for a queuing card you will be unable to register again.

We are again expecting a large number of people accessing the registration site tomorrow and with everyone’s internet capabilities being different, please expect variations in site speed.
All details about the event including location, transport to the event and lining up for the product can be found at darrenlockyerrum.tumblr.com.
More than a dozen times today the site read "SOLD OUT" and people weren't able to register. It was deplorable the state of the site and the distribution of the que registration tickets was a farce, poor form.

Nice. One thing I wish I could do was get up for that event and the others they have overtime. But it's a bit of a trip from Canberra.

Well dpone on securing a nice low number

I was on Ebay and the one I bid on #258 went for $1,200. At the moment #10 is sitting at $6k. I've seen the high numbered ones are around $120 a bottle. Thinking I may buy a couple of those.

On the $6k, these bottles must be pretty special. I've not see just released ones go this high before. None that I have seen anyway.

Don't go crazy buying up Lockyer bottles, eBay isn't an accurate representation of what they are worth. Bottles 1000-36000 are all worth the same, anything under 1000 has a bit more value you it and they're the ones you want.

Bottle 10 went up to $7,000 in an auction about a week ago, but looking at the bids it wasn't legitimate, that's why it has a buy it now price of truly ridiculous $6000. Whatever you do, don't pay the exorbadant prices they have on eBay, because that is a very isolated market. Seeing as this is a QLD only release, it's unlikely that you'll find these in your local independant or BWS, but it is possible (I've already heard that quite a few cases have made it south of the boarder to reward BWS managers for selling their Port Barrel stock).

EDIT: If anyone needs help getting Lockyer bottles at cost as opposed to eBay prices I'm more than happy to point you in the right direction

Select Vat: 207 - Should hit shelves this week, the launch was in Bundy today and there was a least 500 (very low from what I'm told, mainly due to the dismal weather) in the line by this morning at 8am when the bottles started to sell. I got there (for my first Bundy launch) with 6 others at 11pm Friday night a managed to wrangle myself bottle no.132 of 5000 and no's.2990-2995

Bottles were limit to 1 bottle between 4-999, and 30 between 1000-5000. Numbered bottles are now sold out, but un-numbered will be available all across the country.

testing the memory banks here, but many years ago we were doing some excavating and came across a bottle of Bundaberg brand burbon or scotch Whiskey. Didn't seem right at the time but was a really old bottle with a painted label. Can anyone shed light on if they actually made whiskey, would have to be pre 1955 as the house was built then and this was buried under it.

Sorry mate, I was being a bit presumptuous. I'd love to hear more about this Bundy brand bourbon/scotch whiskey.
