Smile AU3 2002 Radio Code Procedure?

Hi there!
I would like to know if anyone here can help me sort out the correct procedure to enter my radio code into my standard fair AU3 double din CD/Radio Combination?
The trans was replaced the other day and thus the battery was disconeccted. When I have tried to enter the code, it now constantly comes up with Err code and I am not sure which buttons to press to enter my correct code?
The right advice is needed please!
Thanks in advance!
