I actually saw the trailer for this a few weeks ago and was thinking I would go and see it, but then I was on a Qantas flight last week and it was already available there...

Seems like it shouldn't be available on a flight while still in cinemas?

It was filmed entirely in South Australia (Two Wells, Flinders Ranges, Port Adelaide, Callington).
FILM IS NOW SHOWING! Check here for participating cinemas, but keep an eye out as we try to secure more screens.

Saw this movie today at Avoca Beach - only 5 people at the screening!!

Really enjoyed the movie. If it's screening near you I recommend you go and see it and support a good Aussie movie and your local independent cinema at the same time.

Thank Moo Man.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I went again with my Mum the other day, we were the only two people in the cinema.

Unfortunately the film disappears from South Australian screens tomorrow. Barely anyone has been going to see it here so cinemas don't want to keep showing it.

So after the team spends years getting it written, funded, shot, edited, etc. etc. and distributed, our home town couldn't even give a hoot or go see it. Perth, Melb and Syd are doing well. We are lining up screenings for Darwin, Broome, Hobart and some other more remote towns.

In a couple of weeks it will be back on in S.A. on one screen called The TRAK (a very small art cinema). Tough times I tell you, it's pretty disappointing. It's so frustrating because its a good movie and people who see it like it.

I'm also bitter because today I had to fork out $2300 for new Tezza tyres, service, back brakes and all the bloody rest! argh.

If you could get it screening at the State Cinema in North Hobart, I'd probably go see it with a few friends.

Hey, so... we found out today that SWERVE has hit the torrent sites for download. Unfortunately for us, but fortunate for those who missed it at the cinemas. Universal will be releasing it on DVD soon, but for those of you who do grab it from the net, please at least take the time to head to IMDB and give it a good vote. All the positive feedback helps.

Saw this movie on a Virgin flight from Melbourne to Perth last week.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, great movie. Proud to be Australian, you should all see it as you won't be disappointed.

Was looking forward to seeing it when I first read this thread and was lucky to see it on the plane as it seems the only WA cinema screening it is down south.

I find it disappointing that only ONE cinema in WA is supporting the Australian film industry and screening great local films like it.

If it was screening locally I'd gladly see it again as I'd like to be able to pay for it!!!

The trailer looks awesome. It even came to Bunbury, WA.... my home town and I heard nothing about it. I would have gone to see it too, looks like I'll have to buy the DVD instead.

The movie looks great, just ashame its not in more movie theaters. Let us know when it s on DVD. I would buy a copy.

Also anyone that doesnt like watching old Falcons getting blown up, dont watch Death Race 2, theres a few dressed up as yankee cop cars that get wrecked in the chase scene

Managed to see this film finally. I enjoyed it, a good outback Aussie crime flick. The only thing I thought it was missing was a car chase, not that it really fit into the story though.

It was a mercy killing. My wife used to own an identical convertible model as shown in the clip. I was praying it was hers.

Someone told me about Fever, another Aussie film from 1988! I am so surprised... from the trailer it's appears almost the same film, right down to the dead animal in the well!! Perhaps Swerve was a remake of it.
