Default ZH-XC Window motors

Don't know if I'm in the right place. Got the ZH that has tired electric window motors. Can I fit later model ones without too much modification or can I get them re-co'd? I'm in Melbourne. Thanks

Hi,
I think you can get them reco'd fairly easy. I'd suggest giving Tas a call at Palace Automotive in Moorabbin on **** 6066. He specialises in XA-XC resto's and is a great help. He's also Secretary of the Ford Coupe Club and usually has a lot of contacts for reco-ing stuff. Also saw a few ZH's around his workshop last time I was there.

with the right amount of cash time and perseverance any modification can be done but no not worth modding a later/different cable type

whether its the motors or mechanical part of the mechanism there are kits available
as for the getting slow part with the wiring getting old some are implementing relays in to the system to help with the power drop

I had an LTD years ago. I found the motors just needed a good clean out and reassemble . They worked well after. The hardest part was the clutch setup with the 3 plastic rollers I had to make up but I think they make them repro now
