Default "Chrome" FG-has anyone else seen it?

Yesterday morning in Chelsea Heights (Vic) I saw an FG Falcon sedan that looked like it had been chromed. The whole car was like a big mobile mirror but I only saw it for a few seconds and couldn't get a pic as it was going the other way.
Has anyone else seen it or know how they did it?

could be a complete vinyl wrap job.
The new gold and chrome wraps are pretty close to the real thing.

There's been vinyl wrap chrome of various kinds for a little while, and some of the newer stuff is conformable to wrap well into complex curves.

I have some of the older silver and gold on my AU.

There was a chrome wrapped Lexus LFA around Brissy and the Gold Coast for the last few years. It was a head turner that's for sure. Last time I saw it the chrome wrap was gone and it had some sort of cannonball run advertising all over it.
How did I know that was it? The number plate is YEEOOW. It actually sounds like that when it goes past! (Used to be LFUKNA Obviously the authorities eventually worked out what it said lol)

Chrome vinyl is the hardest vinyl to work to work with and wrap a car. I would never do it to my car, but it takes a lot of skill to wrap a car with chrome.

Depends on what you want vinyl and colour you want. Also depends on the size of the car.

Standard FG falcon, with no spoiler, starting price around $3000.00. But its all depends on what you want.

If you decided to go the chrome look, probably be double the cost plus some.

Any idea how long it lasts, it would have to fade after a few years and be crap to get off.

You sure can.

If you want the design printed onto the vinyl you would need to go to a sign writer, just a quick google search found these guys.

http://www.signarama.com.au/vehicle-fleet-signage

Other cheaper option is to go to someone who has a vinyl plotter and get them to cut out vinyl letters and a basic design (usually a sign writer, few guys on Facebook advertise these types of stickers for cheap). You can stick them on your car yourself or let them do it. Only problem with these type of stickers is that they are single colour, design needs to be basic and can look cheap and nasty.

It all comes down to your budget and what you willing to spend.

Also, if it's off a vinyl plotter with decals, more often than not, it all boils down to the type of plotter, the software and the quality of vinyl, and the skillset of the applicator if more than one colour is to be used in an overlaid design.
Chrome wrap are rated at a lifespan of 3 years... and that's Avery's own details on that.
