You must be doing something wrong mate, i've done 50 passes at WSID and still going strong not a thing gone wrong, drag radials and all. Mate I have spoken to guys that circuit race there cars for a day new brake discs,pads not to mention the stress on your suspenion parts. The only stress is the driveline not the whole car.

Gotta agree, track days would cause heaps more stress allround than drag racing imo, especially 6 hours worth against a measly 7 runs.

Yep i would agree with you also, track days your flogging everything on your car for long periods of time, also hard on your brakes, tyres and suspension.

Yeah, I agree too. At the drags all you are doing is taking off fast, no different to doing it off the lights except your top speed is a bit higher. The only thing that I can see which is a bit harder on you car at the drags is the launch - mainly in a manual. With an auto its even easier on the car unless you sit there stalling up for long periods.

You have more chance of blowing a diff, G/Box or axel at the drags. At the end of a track day, all i do is flush the brake fluid and the brakes are good as normal. Anyway, track days are more fun.

I actually drive it harder on the street than i did at the strip.

Then my friend your just cruising at the track lol, did a few track days in my rexy and regretted it so much that i vowed never to do it again (untill im rich), the car felt like it had been through the wringer, i can only imagine what a hard thrash around the track would do to a BA.
19 consecutive drags/runs in my BA was great and **** easy and the car handled it no probs

I've done Oran Park and Wakefield Park and the cars feel as good as the day I picked it up from Ford. Still feels strong. And i was pushing it hard, keeping in touch with LS2 Maloo utes at the like. The T still feels fresh.

EDIT: Im talking about Manual cars too. The drive line in the manual cops it harder off the line and down the strip than an auto.
