Default JMM Dev on Engine Dyno?

Have any of the dev packages ever been tested on an engine dyno??
i'd be curious to know exactly how much they're putting out compared to the original factory specs.

Mate as you know I have the dev 4 cam only and it puts out between 137-141.9 rwkws with a unichip. I cant complain with that. The stock figures are usually 100 rwkws.

Its a bit hard to compare between the JMM dyno and the dynos down here.I would love to see a car from there on a dyno up here.

I think EFFaclon means and engine dyno, not a chassis dyno.

Ford quote the au 6 engine as having 157fkws.Seeing that a typical ford puts out 100 rwkws on a dyno thats a difference of 57 kw to rear.

Of course he does

He actually says ENGINE DYNO, so why mention it again? :

while in theory thats the case, but we know just how accurate chassis dyno's are.
hence my question, i'd be interested to see just what kinda power people are gaining from the true stock numbers of 157kw.

a stock car outputs approx 100rwkw, and a Dev 5 car puts out around 165rwkw..

suggesting 220kw, but with the possibility of more losses.. an engine dyno would also give a good indication of a true torque curve.

i know how much development has gone into these packages, and how many engines they would have seen through their workshop, so i'm simply curious

yep - you can estimate fwkw from rwkw, but its only an estimation.

What does a 220 xr8 pull on the chassis dyno? 150ish?

I'd LOVE to see the "Time Machines" turbo engine on an engine dyno. 600hp at the wheels... would that be close to 750hp at the flywheel?

Ford's power figures for pre au models were made with gross averages, for example the engine was tested with no belts, alternator, intake and probably no exhaust. All of there components add up for approx a 10% loss, Dyno dynamics had huge arguments with ford in the early days baecause a 160 kw enginwe should put more than 100 to the wheels and Dyno Dynamics magical mathematics equations could't make any sense of it until they found that the engines were tested bare.

Unfortunately NO! we haven't tasted on an engine dyno yet, as many haven't. We have an engine dyno but have not set it up in Melbourne Yet, however I know when it gets setup I will not get any sleep....

Be sure to let us know when you do!
i'm very keen to see what numbers they're putting out, even if its not *directly* comparable to ford, i'm sure it'd still tell a good story
