Default RE: Roof Racks

Hi All,

Does anyone have a picture of their Mondeo with Rook Racks on?
I am looking at Hatch only, not wagon.

Also, are the OEM Roof Racks Thule or Prorack? Does anyone know?
Just spoke to Ford parts and they indicated that they could be Rhino Racks even.

I do like the look of the Prorack (Whispbar) roof racks.

Just planning ahead as looking t go for a drive later in the year and I am alos considering a Roof Box to suit...

A quick look on the Thule site and it appears that they are releasing some new models soon...

Right now I am swayed towards the Whispbar!

Anyone have any experiences to share regarding roof boxes?
Pro's / Con's.

Thought about roof racks and a box very briefly, decided to fit a tow bar and keep my camping trailer. Has been a better towcar than the AU Fairmont Ghia it replaced.......

I have found the Ford Finis (Part No.) 1724805 for (2007 - Sedan / Hatch).
I will contact Ford Parts and see how much the OEM bars cost.
Does anyone know what brand the OEM Bars are?

From experience does anyone know if the OEM bars take Thule / Whispbar roof boxes / bike racks etc?

I have now found the Australian Part Numbers and link to a picture; http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/Satel...eature-overlay

Does anyone know who makes them? Parts said it could be Rhino Racks, however he was nor sure.

I just wanted to know if other branded roof boxes / bike carriers can also be used on the Ford Racks...

Digging up an old thread of mine.
Back when I started this I had the EcoBoost, but never actually purchased the roof racks. I am now going down that path again and was hoping to get opinions on these roof racks, or better still if anyone is selling some - LET ME KNOW!

The Ford Part No. AM7S7JQ46002AB / Finnis 1724805

Did you end up buying some? If so what type and do you recommend?

(Assuming you fitted to the wagon.)

I've got Thule Wingbars for my late MC Mondeo wagon. I think late MC has same solid roof rails as the MD.

I got these used at about 1/2 RRP. If buying new I would get Rhino Rack. They're considerably cheaper and I think the look better because they sit closer to the roof than Thule.
