Default Inserting Photos in FS Threads

Am I the only one that has trouble inserting images into for sale threads? As in, I link to a photo with appropriate tags and correct link, but it still tells me that I need to attach a photo.

Using Firefox with no extensions...anyone know what might be happening? Also occurs when I use IE.

Nah I am linking to the picture directly, I didn't even know you could upload to the site. Also, doing it off my laptop.

Perhaps you can send your IMG pics to a mod of the For Sale section and they can insert them for you.

I am sure Russ will know what the issue is, but as a short term solution, that may be the way to move forward and get your ad up.

Cheers

I've actually tried to post the thread without the images but it just brings up the same page saying 'you need to insert an image' or whatever it says on the second page after you press 'submit'.

Ohh good point. I think it might be.

works for me now, you have 184 pictures in your album.

there's 2x ways you can do it,
1st,
you can click on the picture you want, then when it opens up you can click on the image code on the right hand side of the page,
it will say copied, then go to your for sale tyhread here and in the details section right click and then click on paste.

or 2nd way,
from the album you can hover the cursor over the pic you want,
then click on the img code underneath, it will say copied again.
come back to your for sale thread, in the description section right click and then select paste.

both ways worked ok from my end

I think you misunderstood man, or maybe I didn't explain it very well. I can link the photos fine, its just when I go to submit the thread, it tells me I need to insert images even though I already have. Nothing I do makes it submit the thread.

Tried it again from my other PB account and it still won't post.

are you pressing the 'insert image' button when you paste the pic from photobucket?
if you are then that may be the problem.

try just pasting the photobucket links, then hit submit.

the insert image button is just for photo's stored here.

Tried that man. I've tried literally everything.

Different photobucket accounts, modifying the html links to remove the http:\\ prefix, adding in www. prefixes, changing image formats to png, jpg, gif, using the button, not using the button, using the img codes, not using the img codes, using the img codes in all caps and probably more that I can't remember.

Very odd. I'm still scratching my head.

Thanks for the help man, I did add a tiny description of it before I posted so maybe that did it?

Thanks again for taking the time to have a bash at it, explaining stuff like this is hard over the internet without seeing it in person (in my opinion).
