In Australia at least octane is lpg's party trick.

Can be anything from 100 to 112 depending on the mix.
Hence the 12:1 on a factory motor.

Curious...Can someone steer me to a thread that transplants a similar engine into a XD - XF or can it not be done ?

I think apolloxbgt did it.

He had an LS1 in an XE wagon .... and an XR6T engine in an XD ute.
All in Street Machine as well.

He has a thread on here for both vehicles ... I think in the Performance Builds section.
