Default Odometer Adjustment

Hi All,

Looking for recommendations or Ideas. I have purchased a new cluster for the XR8, and the odometer is too low. Does anyone know of a hack or software that can do it, or does anyone know someone in the sydney area that can do the adjustment

Cheers

There are a few people that do it who advertise on ebay.
The going price seems to be around $100 from what I have seen.

There are also a number of tools that you can buy to reset odometers
but AFAIK all the tools that you can buy for under around $2,000
require that you need to pull apart the cluster, un-solder & remove the chip to program,
then re-solder & replace it.

Should be able to swap over the Eprom chip. See ' Swapping odometer readings' http://www.fordmods.com/ford-technic...ter-upgrade-d4
There's a pic of the chip on an EF/EL falcon board here http://www.fordmods.com/ford-technic...nstruments-d14
I've done a few - they are tiny, around 5mm, so they need magnification.
An electronics repair shop should be able to do it for you.
