Despite this being an F6 Cruise, most of you would surely watch Bathurst? Bathurst is 8 -11 October this year.

Lost interest in V8 Soupcars all together to be honest, watched last weeks race and I was playing poker at the same time online, still wasn't interesting enough to take all my interest.

In saying that if this is going to be an issue for others then we could look at changing it, I'm not fussed really.

Their are alot of nice hotels in Melbourne and along the surf coast, you could even rent a beach house in Apollo Bay and we could have drinks and a barby there.

Maybe Spooly can look at organizing one for you guys next time he's up at Spiro's getting some secret work done.

Guys.... I hate to be a spoilsport here.... But we CAN'T do this on BATHURST day???
True... Will be bugger-all cars on the road because anyone worth their salt as a car enthusiast is sitting 'round the barbie, having a few ales, with the plasma on the wall in the garage.
Just imagine what anyone into cars (that's not actually glued to the tele) that SEE'S us will think??
Wrong Sunday guys, eh??

i know this club is all about the I6 Supercars... but i am afraid ill most likely be driving my f6 to the V8 Supercars at Bathurst....
how could we decide to cruise on bathurst weekend?!! any warm blooded aussie who likes fast falcons will either be there or be watching it it with mates on tv!!

we will look like some anti-v8 group if we have our first cruise on bathurst race day!!!
sorry, but i cant make it on the 11th. ill be on the 5th breakfast beer looking over Skyline at the time the cruise takes off... probably watching V. Bray's 3000hp drag car frying it's tires during demo laps...

Perhaps due to the nature of the day, it would be best to postpone.

I am not fussed if it goes to another date, the following weekend I am in Adelaide going to a Wedding, a couple who met on this Forum are getting hitched.

Well the weekend after that Mark is Indy weekend for those that want to watch the V8 soup kitchen, otherwise the next non race weekend, automotive that is, is the 1st Nov which is the Melbourne Cup weekend Sunday.

So is it just Bathurst that people want to be glued to their couches or the Indy as well??

I'm not fussed as I said, so if people want to have a think about whether they want to watch the Indy as well then we could do it the following weekend, 1st Nov.

that is all

Couldn't give 2 hoots about Indy! (hardly as sacred as Bathurst)
Melb. Cup weekend probably no go as so many have it is a 4 day weekend and go away.(ME for example)
Maybe put a poll up with all the suggested dates and let majority rule?

Ok well it's looking like the 25th of October is the prefered date at this point, I think by the end of this week we will cement the date, if anyone has any other suggestions then put them up now otherwise I will be changing the date this Sunday coming and that will be it. LOL we've tried to set it now for about 3 weeks I think, or has it been 4 , anyway I'm very keen and I know alot of you are also very keen to get this rolling.

We may do the lunch at the local, after speaking to another member who was there recently they have plenty of room so it shouldn't be a problem but I will let them ahead of time we will be coming so as to try to ensure enough seating. However I won't do this until maybe a week or two before as a few may drop away by that time or perhaps we may even pick a few more up along the way.

So check your calenders for the 25th of October and let's get this happening.

Regards
Stef

p.s. Dave the 18th Mark is going to Adelaide for a wedding that the rest of us haven't been invited to by a member on the forums
