Default AUfalcon Tut's/how to's

A heads up to anyone with old tutorials or how to's from the old aufalcon.com site, you are needed!

They are needed for the new site due to old ones being lost.

Some have been found, others have parts missing, others are lost all together.

So if you have any that are not on this list, or have new ones, please get onto casper asap.

This is for the good of AUfalcon.com

Cheers

Well, I just found a copy of the "Chip Challenge" but now the big question is, with the advent of the edit, is it even worth posting up again?

Lets face it, the edit trounces both the unichip and the Chiptorque J3 chip by a mile anyhow.

Why not re do it, but not as a chip challenge but as what can be done to the au ecu. Would give people an idea if the edit is for them or not, and what else is around

I found the full article, which I can send again. Also have the console, cluster removal and bumper ones too. I'll send them through to Casper.

I remember there was one of the "how to paint the brake calipers" without taking the brake calipers off the rotor. Since seeing that i painted up mine. Any chance of getting that one back up for other users to see????

This argument is as old as the edit on LS1. No, you cant live tune and edit but yes, the edit is still significantly better than any other option.. period.

Please enlighten me. Its one thing to say another product is better but you must be able to reason why. Please be specific.

this isnt the time or place to be arguing about whats better and why, this thread was origonally started to find all old and new docos for aufalcon.com. if you want to know more about something with regards to things that are mentioned here, go to the site and look.

Well, without going into details, I'm one of the few that has actually had a Chiptorque J3 custom tuned for my car, followed by a unichip custom tuned for my car and now an edit custom tuned for the same car. So am I qualified to make a decision on whats the best? I'm thinking that I am.

Why is the edit better? Simple, it offers the same degree of tuning that a chiptorque or J3 chip offer and a lot more. In fact, of all 3, I considered the unichip to be the least capable although it was the most easy to "live tune".

Have you done back to back assessments of these 3 options on the same car within a reasonably short period of time? Please enlighten us.
