Default Choosing between Ultimate and SRT.

Looking for advice from you guys here on pad selection.

I have read about the SRT's being a bit noisy but better cold than the Ultimate.

Will be running DBA 4000 rotors. Originally I was looking at Brembo's but now looking away from that as I am not prepared to spend nearly 7k including new wheels (extra spare to clear and tyre) just for brakes I'm never going to track race.

Dust is a consideration too though I also understand that dust is expected with both as that is a consequence of the brakes actually working.

Default Re: Choosing between Ultimate and SRT.

Both the Ultimates and SRTs will work great when cold.

If you are not going to track your car then it would be best to stay clear of the SRTs. Ultimates will be better suited to your needs, they will also create less noise and dust than the SRTs however as you mentioned they are not dust free.

With an increase in braking performance will usually result in an increase in brake dust and noise.
SRTs will also be harsher on your brake discs.

Hope this helps
